(>>>in Belorusian
«дзiвосныя вожыкi
iмклiвыя вераб’i
працавiтыя пчолы
прыгожыя зубры
яскравыя красi
цiкавыя ластаукi
гаспадарныя ваверкi —
усе ведаюць мову сваю». <<<)
I translate into English:
"wonderful hedgehogs,
swift sparrows,
hardworking bees,
beautiful zubrs* (bisons),
shiny crucian carps,
interesting swallows
household squirrels -
everyone knows their own language."
*Note: there is a special type of bison who lives in a few ammount in Belarus, it is called ZUBR or from latin language Bison bonasus.
Already in the era of the last ice age, bison were the object of hunting by humans. Their images are often found among cave paintings. Despite the fact that the bison became extinct in the Mediterranean region before the first historical records began, the ancient Greeks and Romans knew this animal.
This artwork is about love to native language.
