tested Mir-1V Mir-1B 2.8/37 lens for SLR camera M42 mount USSR Russia VOMZ

Mir-1B, lens for SLR camera 37 mm, f:2.8, M42, s/n 8504_7253 Vologodsky Optical-Mechanical plant (VOMZ), Vologda, USSR Very good condition. Fully working. Lens is clear and clean, without any fungus or scratches. Inside there can be microspecks of microdust. Aperture and focus rings rotate properly and fluently. Body has small signs of age and use. Aperture blades have oil. I tested this lens set on DSLR "Sony A-100" via adapter. Test photo is #3. This is a fixed wide-angle high lens-speed lens for SLR with one-layered anti-reflection coating. Lens was designed on base of CZJ Flektogon 3.5/28 at State Optical Institute in 1954. Its production started in 1958.  Lens has a preliminary aperture set. The first lens is meniscus reducing vignetting when opened aperture. In 1958 at Brussels World's Fair (Expo-58) set of Soviet lenses (including MP-2 Russar, Mir-1, Tair-11, Tair-3, MTO-500, MTO-1000) got a "Grand Prix". In 1959 lens got reward at Soviet Exhibition of National Economy.  Lens was produced at many plants: KMZ (Krasnogorsk), ZOMZ (Zagorsk), "Jupiter" (Valdai), VOMZ (Vologda), "Arsenal" (Kiev). In USSR this lens had possible mounts: M39 (for SLR), M42 (for SLR - this lens), special bayonet for Kiev-10 and -15 (for SLR - it was called "Mir-1 Automat"), lens with central shutter for Zenit-4 (for SLR - it was called "Mir-1C"). Also it produced a variant "Mir-1A" with changeable adapter for M42, M39, Nikon F and Pentax K mounts. The letter "B" (V in English) means that lens is from town Vologda. Lens offered is early type.
