Although commonly mistaken for brown today, in medieval Japan, “kachiiro” referred to a dignified deep blue, a color beloved by samurai for its strength and solemnity. People born on this day are said to possess strong unity and a longing for freedom. The rich blue-gray hue, with a subtle green tint, stands out beautifully when paired with black.
