The gold color in this work is not formed by means of gilding. Instead, some rare metal materials from the natural world are added in the glazes. Through the exclusive technique created by Hsin-Co Kiln, the gold color is generated by the use of Tenmoku (glaze). The Yohen Tenmoku with Golden Crystals is made under kiln fire as well as the burning and controlling skills; each process is interlinked. It undergoes liquid phase separation in high temperature, to generate distinctive rainbow-like metal colors and textures. Then, a unique work is created. As the angle of illumination changes, the crystals will display noble changes in colors.
