George Malakov's work was influenced by his extraordinary artistic memory. He could reproduce in detail what he had seen only once in a drawing, which always impressed his teachers. And what he observed as a teenager during the terrible years of the war became the richest material for the works he created decades later. He worked in the field of magazine and newspaper illustration in the magazines “Ukraine”, “Knowledge and Labor”, “Start”, “Pioneering”, “Malyatko”, “Zirka” and others. He has participated in exhibitions since 1943, republican ones since 1957, all-Union ones since 1961, and foreign ones since 1956. Exhibition of Ukrainian art in Moscow (1967). International exhibition in Paris (1971) - where his works were highly praised by critics. In addition, he participated in numerous exhibitions in Kyiv, where his paintings attracted the attention of viewers and collectors.
