Siluet-Elektro (Силуэт-Электро), scale-focus film camera with stationary Triplet-69-3 lens, 4/40, #8090559, 35 mm Belorussian Optical Mechanical Association (BelOMO), USSR Good condition. Exposure meter works (only yellow bulb is flashing, I did not succeed in red bulb working). Lens does not have any fungus or scratches, probably has microdust inside. Frame-counter does not work. Body has signs of age, especially the battery compartment cover which is very hard to rotate. Viewfinder has microdust inside. Plate with the camera name is absent. Battery is not included. This is the third model from "Vilia" scale-focus cameras family, the others are: "Vilia", "Vilia-Auto", "Orion-EE". They had the same body and lens, but different way of exposure setting. "Siluet-Elektro" has Aperture Priority. Camera was named after the river Vilia which flows in Belorussia and Lithuania. Camera was produced by BelOMO since 1976 till 1981. Prototype had name "Vilia-Elektro". This camera is scale-focused, so you focus the lens using the distance scale (from 0.8 meters till Infinity) on the lens barrel. Viewfinder is used only to estimate the frames of the future image. Viewfinder has inner and outer frames: inner frame is used for 3 meters and closer distances to compensate parallax. Camera is Aperture Priority. You set the desired aperture from f/4 till f/16 rotating the disc on the lens. Then built-in CdS exposure meter (whose window is above the lens) measures the light and sets automatically the shutter speed depending on the aperture set, ISO set (DIN 13-25, equal to ISO 16-240) and the light measured between 1/250 - 8 seconds. When there is too much light red bulb in the viewfinder will burn, when light is not enough - yellow bulb. Exposure compensation is possible by changing the ISO only. Camera needs 5V voltage for work. By default in USSR 4 batteries RC-53 were set (every 1,25 V). Without battery only shutter speed available will be 1/30 sec. If the mode switch will be moved from "A" to "Flash" position, only shutter speed available will be 1/30 sec. Also, camera has a "B" mode. Shutter is central, located after the lens, has 2 aperture blades. Aperture is located after it and has 4 blades. Shutter is cocked up with lever and released with a large button from the right side of the lens. Body is plastic, rear cover opens on hinges. Built-in lens is "Triplet 69-3", 4/40. Filter thread is 46x0,75. Minimal distance of focusing - 0,8 m. Camera has a hot shoe and flash synchrocontact. On the bottom there is a 1/4" tripod socket and frame counter which throws off when the rear cover is opened. Backwind is with a roulette. Camera was rather expensive - 65 or 67 Soviet Roubles (depended on bag type - soft or hard). It is interesting to notice that fully manual "Vilia" cost only 23-25 Soviet Roubles, more than two times cheaper. Average salary was about 120 Soviet Roubles per month.
