This wheel-thrown large 'Speckled' vase is finished on the exterior with a matte Sakura Pink glaze that runs midway down, leaving the feel of the actual ceramic body along the bottom section. The visual texture created with juicy red speckles, coupled with the high gloss interior, completes the trio of textures - raw, matte, and gloss.
The “Speckled’ series presents the energy of whimsical fun. Incorporating multiple layers of hand-speckled colour, the vessel captures a sense of dynamism and vigour that is associated with the seasons of spring and summer.
