Embroidered beaded night owl bird brooch. Long-eared owl as a starry night. Perfect as night sky lower gift or ravenclaw dark academia lover. Last summer we took a late walk with my dog Dinka. It was a dark night, the stars were shining. And then we heard an unfamiliar cry: "Woohoo", as if a swing had rattled. Dinka became wary, began to twist her head, sniffing. She raised her head and barked in surprise. The small owl sat on the wires. It was like a fluffy lump. With ears! 😁 He also looked at us curiously. And then he shrieked again: Whoo! Oh, he must be hungry! - I said to Dinka. - Let's go home so as not to scare the mama owl. When I told my friend about our meeting, she suggested that I make an owl brooch. I gladly agreed. My friend drew a sketch, and I started embroidering. That's how the star owl was born.✨ Materials: - glass orange eyes - glued on quality glue, and sewn with beads. - Japanese Miuki beads - they are very small and beautiful, matte black in color. I like to fill the space between crystal beads and large beads with these beads. - Czech beads with an inner coating - create the atmosphere of twinkling clusters of stars. These beads are larger than the Japanese beads. I really like beads of different sizes. Then the brooch will be voluminous. - For the small stars are Japanese Toho beads, silver and gold. These beads are also very small, one bead is about 1 mm -1,5 mm, but beautiful ❤️. - Spinel (synthetic) are clear stones of dark blue and dark purple color. The size of one stone is about 2mm. Spinel has a faceting that makes the brooch shine so brilliantly in the light. I need about 100 of these stones for one brooch. - Rondels are glass beads of blue, dark purple and black colors. The beads come in different sizes: 3 mm, 4 mm and 6 mm. Rondels are made in China. These beads are responsible for the volume and color of the brooch. It is like in the sky: somewhere there are a lot of stars, and somewhere there is a lot of beautiful clear space. This is the role that rondels play in this space. - French wire is a thin silver wire twisted into a tight spiral. It is made in India. I used the thinnest wire, about 1mm, to create the outline of the connection between the owl. As it is very thin, it took about two hours to sew. But it was worth it ❤️ - Natural leather - goes on the back of the bear. Natural leather doesn't crumble, holds its shape well and is hardwearing. I use the leather that remains in the remnants of production and is no longer suitable for large products. It causes less damage to nature, which is very important to me, and nothing is thrown away. - Beaded thread - holds the beads tightly and doesn't sag. This brooch is a unique thing. Even if I made the same one, the beads would still lay differently. Because this brooch has more inspiration than a clear plan. That's why I love it so much. I work in a non-smoking area, but I have a dog and cat living with me. Packing The brooch will arrive in a beautiful bag and gift box. Care tips if the brooch gets dust on it, wipe it off with an eyeglass cloth or you can dust it off with a paint brush (or powder brush, works well too) Try not to soak the brooch in water. If it does, leave it to dry on a table for a while. Please do not blow dry with a hair dryer ❤️ The inside of the brooch is dense cardboard and can be ruined with a hair dryer. It's okay if the brooch sits on your dressing table for a couple days. But it is better to store it in the pouch I sent with the brooch. It is advisable not to drop the brooch on the floor.
