Sometimes a little stone suddenly breaks off from a strong and unshakable mountain. It falls to the ground with great speed. And the moment it hits the ground, the little stone turns into a troll. No one knows why this happens. Either life comes first, and that's why the stone breaks away from the mountain. Or if life is awakened in the stone by a heavy blow. This question is controversial even among the stone trolls themselves. Some claim that they remember themselves as part of the mountain. But there are also skeptics who don't believe that. Anyway, stone trolls are naturally very tough. Not only their bodies, but also their character. It is impossible to argue with a small stone troll. But time, climate, and life experience make trolls wiser and softer. Some of them become overgrown with moss and lichen and generally become more like forest trolls. But each stone troll remains a solid core, a pillar of support in this changing world. Dashi was born in a stone that broke off the sacred Mongun-Taiga (translated as Silver Mountain) in Tuva. By the way, "Dash" means stone in Tuvan. The troll is still quite young, about 250 years old. But the first moss has already started growing. Dashi is a traveler, which is not typical of stone trolls at all. Normally, they can't be moved. But since childhood, he has loved to bask in the sun and listen to the birds chirping. Dashi listened to their stories of faraway lands and imagined blue lakes, tall larches, herds of grunting oxen, stalking snow leopards, and the most impossible of things - other mountains.
