He built a muffle kiln in his parents' house. Initially only a female worker helped him. Five years later, in 1901, he began producing his own white goods. Porzellanfabrik Heinrich Selb became one of the largest porcelain manufacturers in Germany. Franz Heinrich died in 1928. In 1929 Heinrich & Co took over another Selb, Gräf & Krippner factory. In the 1930s, there were 500 employees in the Heinrich factory.
