This Icon is written in Russian-Byzantine style how it is presented by Prosopon school of Iconology. Prosopon is an iconographic school rooted in 15 century Russia. It is gilded with 24 carat gold and written with egg tempera prepared traditionally from scratch from pigments. It is written on high quality 1,5 cm thick plywood. The text is in Czech - the part near mother Mary says the first part of salutation of the Angel: Hail Mary, Lord is with Thee. The text near baby Jesus says favourite prayer of St.Maria de Pazzi: Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Love! Traditionally when writing an Icon we pray for those for whom it is meant.
